The mails are "personalized" which means that when you subscribe you have to fill a form about your interests. The mails you will receive after will be about companies that sell products corresponding with those interests.

For every mail you read you will be paid a few cents. Usually these mails contain links to the website of the company which is described in it. You have to follow those links in order to be sure that you get paid for that email. If you don't, the company which implements the program will not be paid so that they will not have any money to share with their members.
